CBS has decided to not pick up Rupert Grint and Stephen Fry’s half-hour comedy Super Clyde, the network announced today.

So much for seeing Rupert on our screens every week.

Grint had been cast in the role of a fast food worker who suddenly comes into a lot of money and uses his fortune as his super power. Fry starred as his butler, and Tyler Labine played his brother. A pilot was shot by the network, but it’s likely we’ll never see it unless the show goes to another network (unlikely).

In a story in March, we shared photos of Grint on set.

Grint and Fry share a Harry Potter connection. The latter person was the narrator of the United Kingdom Harry Potter audiobooks. Grint of course starred as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.

What’s next for our favorite red head? The actor has a couple of films in production this year like the historical drama CBGB. With this television project out of the way (and thus a lot of time freed up), we suspect now he’ll start looking for his next big project.

If you’re upset you won’t be able to tune into CBS to catch Grint every week this fall, we recommend pulling out a box of ice cream and holding yourself a Harry Potter movie marathon.
