The overnight numbers from last night’s Super Bowl XLVI have been adjusted from what we reported on earlier, making the 2012 Super Bowl the most watched United States television event in history!

As Deadline reports, overnight figures have been updated to show the total average viewership from last night’s football game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots was 111.3 million in the US, which beats out the previous record set by last year’s Super Bowl of 111 million.
