Suits season 4 just came to a tearful finale but we’re already thinking about what we want to see when Suits season 5 returns this summer.

We know that Suits season 5 will be returning June 24 at 9 p.m. We know the new season has started filming, but we don’t know anything beyond that. Before we speculate about what will happen this season though, let’s take a moment to marvel at how the show is entering its fifth season. No longer is it a show that’s been telling great stories for a couple of years, it’s a long-running, binge-able show that’s expanding it’s world with every episode.

Two of Suits most social-media savvy users, Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty, have Instagrammed pictures of extreme close-ups on set. They’re simultaneously being sneaky and artsy at the same time — it’s a neat little trick. At least we know they’re back!

Seriously, look at this dapper dude:

What we want to see on ‘Suits’ season 5:

Spoilers from the Suits season 4 finale ahead! If you haven’t seen it and don’t mind being spoiled, go ahead and read the recap of the episode first. It’ll help with your understanding of below.

Rachel and Mike planning their wedding

With their friends’ help — so basically, Donna helping without being asked and uh, is Trevor still around? Mike got Rachel’s father’s permission to get engaged, but that doesn’t mean Robert Zane has to be happy about it. And, Harvey will obviously be Mike’s best man, right? Or maybe he’ll plan to be, but then they’ll have a falling out, and then he won’t be… we’ve seen this play before.

We hope that Robert Zane steps into a bigger role this year. He currently serves as the biggest threat to Mike’s fraudulent life (see below for our opinions on that). If Suits wants to seriously get these two to tie the knot, we bet that Mr. Zane will become more impactful on the story than he has in years past.

More ‘us against the world,’ less ‘dog eat dog’

Last season, it was Louis versus the world. Once he found out about Mike’s secret, it was six episodes of rebuilding trust and getting everyone working on the same team. Now that people seem to be working somewhat cohesively, let’s keep that momentum going into season 5.

Ultimately, we know the inter-firm drama is what keeps the show addicting and great, and there is the huge loose end left by Donna and Harvey, so take this wish with a grain of salt.

Get the target off Mike’s back

“But,” you say, “that’s the whole premise of Suits! Mike has a big ol’ bullseye on him and he needs to avoid getting caught!”

Not so fast. Mike has already been caught. Multiple times. And he’s still around.

Harvey and Donna have always known about Mike. Then Jessica found out. And Mike told Rachel. Louis’ head almost exploded, but even he too, found out Mike was a fraud and kept him around anyways. That’s a pretty strong group of people Mike’s got in his corner. At this point, if anyone comes sniffing out Mike Ross, they’ll have to contend with the three name lawyers of a top New York City firm. Meaning, they’d have an easier time luring Louis Litt into a Shakespeare play or Harvey into a bar filled with gorgeous women and professional athletes.
