Tomorrow night, Suits season 4, “Two in the Knees” attempts to break one relationship while mending another.

As we get into the first half of season 4, Suits looks like it will become less like a game of checkers – who can jump over whom to become king – and more like a game of chess, where relationships are the pawns.

In the clip, Rachel is arriving home from another all-nighter, stumbling into the apartment exhausted as Mike is getting ready for work. He tries to trick her into revealing confidental information about the case, but then asks the question he’s clearly been dying to ask: did Rachel love Logan? Rachel has insisted she no longer has feelings for Logan, but she did once love him. This is Suits so there is most likely a lingering trace of doubt in Mike’s – and Rachel’s – mind. Of course, from a show production standpoint, it could behoove them to throw a few wrenches into their relationship, as the course of true love never did run smooth.

Check out the preview where Mike asks her about the affair in tomorrow night’s episode, ‘Two in the Knees’:

But, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it, we’ve got bigger problems at the moment. Louis, after being so touched by Jessica’s devotion to him last week, must try to repair the damaged relationship with newcomer, SEC man Jeff Malone.

The official description for ‘Suits’ season 4, episode 3:

“Pearson Specter’s client, Logan Sanders, pushes Harvey to prove his relationship with Mike won’t hinder him from doing what it takes to win their takeover battle. Meanwhile, Louis attempts to mend his relationship with new colleague Jeff Malone, but their ensuing bonding leads to some misunderstandings.”

It sounds like Logan is trying to worm his way into Mike’s life whether he likes it or not. Not just with Rachel, but now with Harvey. With two, almost three episodes behind us, and seven in front of us for Suits season 4 part one, who knows what will happen with all these characters.

Based on the few promo photos below, it looks like Donna and Mike will have a scene together tomorrow night, which is always something to cheer for. In fact – let’s hope for more Donna in this season than ever before, especially after last week’s stand-out plot-line between Louis and herself. Speaking of – what do you think they’re up to in the photo below?

How do you think Suits is handling juggling the many plot lines they’ve thrown up in the air? There’s the Louis/Jeff/Jessica story within the firm, Logan and Harvey versus Mike and Sidwell Investment Group, and Rachel and Mike’s relationship possibly being hindered by the reemergence of Logan. What goes up, must come down…

Suits season 4, episode 2, “Two in the Knees” airs tomorrow night on USA Network at 9 pm.
