Suits is renewed for season 4 by USA Network, rumors for a post-2014 Olympics premiere for season 3 and a half gains momentum, and showrunner Aaron Korsh is honored on The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 50 Power Showrunners list.

The Suits season 4 renewal was expected, with decent enough ratings through the past two and a half seasons, it’s a critical darling and has a strong fanbase. In addition to the renewal, showrunner Aaron Korsh signed with Universal Cable Production to develop new scripted series. It’s interesting to note that this is Korsh’s first original drama as well as first showrunning gig. Before he worked in television, he worked in finance.

We usually would see the back six episodes premiere and air in January, but according to Gabriel Macht, who plays Harvey Spector on the show, that’s not happening (or he’s pulling our leg – see the tweets below for yourself.)

Another, more definitive, clue comes from this Variety article, wherein it says the second half of Suits season 3 will begin after the winter Olympics in February. NBC (which is the sister network of USA) is using those two weeks to heavily promote the new late-night line-up comprised of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers, and it wouldn’t surprise us to see them promote Suits as well.

Recently, show creator Aaron Korsh was listed as one of the Top 50 Power Showrunners in Hollywood in the drama category. To see the full list, as well as the comedy show runners list, you can visit The Hollywood Reporter’s article.

Other stars have tweeted out their thanks to the fans today, such as Patrick J. Adams on his twitter account, @HalfAdams.

With a guaranteed season 4 with 16 episodes, we wonder what more drama can happen in the firm. But at Pearson Hardman, there’s always something around the corner.
