A feature looking at the marketing of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Variety reveals amazing art of Katniss and other characters.

First up are several photos of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), which look similar to promotional art you may have seen before, but these new looks include striking poses in beautiful high-res:

In addition, we’re treated to photos of Johanna Mason (Jena Malone) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) in what looks like a photo shoot for Capitol Couture.

Finally, and perhaps most interestingly, Lionsgate unveiled to Variety a photo from a rejected photo shoot in which Effie stands with a Peacekeeper behind her. It was for a line of posters in which the Capitol’s influence would be seen in the marketing material.

“This was an outtake of a character poster series we explored from the POV of the Capitol. I love Effie – and the attitude in her body language against the background of an oppressive Peacekeeper was my favorite of the series that didn’t happen,” said Lionsgate Marketing Chief Tim Palen. Perhaps it will be used for one of the final two Mockingjay movies?

We’re less than a month away until the release of Catching Fire in theaters. To celebrate, Lionsgate unveiled the final trailer for the movie this past Sunday during Game 4 of the World Series. It features a bunch of new footage, including a first look at the Jabberyjays and monkeys.

Catching Fire opens in theaters November 22, and Hypable will be closely following the film as we build up to its theatrical debut. The highly-anticipated Hunger Games sequel directed by Francis Lawrence is expected to make nearly $1 billion worldwide.
