The cast of Stranger Things season 3 is shaping up to be the series’ best yet.

Netflix has announced that Maya Thurman-Hawke, who happens to be the daughter of mega famous parents, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, will join the cast of Stranger Things season 3 as a series regular.

She will play a character named Robin, who’s described as “alternative” and “equal parts smart and playful.” The character is “bored with her mundane day job” and just “wants a little excitement in her life.”

If excitement is what she seeks, Hawkins is definitely the place for her. Netflix has also confirmed that the character will uncover a dark secret in Hawkins. Will she discover what we already know, or are there more secrets lurking beneath Hawkins, Indiana?

This new character will likely be near the age of Nancy, Steve, and Jonathan, so it makes the most sense that she’d be hanging out with someone in that group. Could she be a new love interest for one of them?

In even more exciting news, Netflix also announced that Lucas’ little sister, Erica, who’s played by Priah Ferguson, will be recurring in Stranger Things season 3. We’ll also get to meet her friends as they embark on a “mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat.”

Erica’s hilarious brand of sass made her a fan favorite in season 2, so it will be great to get to see more of her in the next installment of the show!
