There was a rumor Friday that one of the Batmobiles from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice production had been stolen, and now director Zack Snyder has released a photo showing the perp being arrested and the Batmobile being safely returned.

Zack Snyder is having fun with his Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice filming, as the director continues to play photo-tag with Star Wars VII director J.J. Abrams.

Friday there was a rumor that one of the Batmobiles had been stolen from the film’s set, we didn’t report it because obviously it was a pretty ridiculous claim.

Now Snyder has released an image via Twitter which shows a Stormtrooper being put into the back of a police car with the Batmobile safely returned. Check out the tweet below and click on the image to view it in HD:

Not only do we get to see a great shot of the Batmobile, but Snyder continues to enjoy playing a few games with Star Wars director J.J. Abrams as they exchange photos with characters from each other’s films.

Snyder also released a new image of the Batmobile earlier this week, after some unofficial set photos were released featuring Batman’s vehicle.

This isn’t the first time Snyder has released a Star Wars crossover image, so we look forward to seeing the two directors having a bit of fun between shooting in the future.

Warner Bros. has shifted the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice release date to March 25, 2016.
