Yesterday the first clip from the Ashton Kutcher-led Steve Jobs movie JOBS surfaced and offered our first look at the Two and a Half Men actor in the coveted role.

While it looked good, Apple’s real co-founder Steve Wozniak, who’s on screen persona appears in the clip, denies the accuracy of the scene.

In the clip, the two Steves are talking about the idea of an operating system and the public purchasing personal computers. Jobs is trying to convince Wozniak to bring his idea to the masses. Wrote Woz, as he’s called in the industry for short, to Gizmodo:

Totally wrong. Personalities and where the ideas of computers affecting society did not come from Jobs. They inspired me and were widely spoken at the Homebrew Computer Club. Steve came back from Oregon and came to a club meeting and didn’t start talking about this great social impact. His idea was to make a $20 PC board and sell it for $40 to help people at the club build the computer I’d given away. Steve came from selling surplus parts at HalTed. He always saw a way to make a quick buck off my designs (this was the 5th time). The lofty talk came much further down the line.

I never looked like a professional. We were both kids. Our relationship was so different than what was portrayed. I’m embarrassed but if the movie is fun and entertaining, all the better. Anyone who reads my book iWoz can get a clearer picture.”

You can read more from Woz at the link above. We’re already feeling a little let down by the movie if it’s just going to be littered with changes to paint Jobs in a different, more prophetic light. That’s okay though, because we still have Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs movie to look forward to.

JOBS hits theaters April 19.
