Steve Carell hosted SNL this week and brought along some of his friends from his hit NBC show The Office. Check out some of the highlights from this week’s episode.

Cold Open

This week’s cold open featured Kate McKinnon as Laura Ingraham talking about voter fraud from the most recent election. She was joined by various cast members weighing in on the topic as well.

Steve Carell Opening Monologue

Steve Carell returned to the stage at SNL this week hosting for the third time in his career. During his opening monologue he took questions from the audience, which turned out to be a few of his fellow cast members from The Office. They all begged and pleaded with him to do a reboot of the hit show, but Steve thinks it’s a bad idea. Wait until the end when he crushes all of our dreams.

Disney Announcement

In the first sketch of the night, Carell played a dad crawling in to his kids’ bedroom to surprise them with a trip to Disney World. Except they all knew a few more surprises about dad.

Friendsgiving

With Thanksgiving coming up, SNL wasted no time playing in to the holiday spirit. In this very strange sketch, Cecily Strong and Steve Carell played friends who insisted they knew a Thanksgiving song. The sketch gets weirder by the second so just sit back and enjoy this one for what it is.

Space Station Broadcast

In another sketch of the night, Carell, Mikey Day, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones all played astronauts who were broadcasting live from space. But of course many things went wrong including a few animals and an astronaut who seemed to have frozen to death.

Musical artist Ella Mai also performed two songs on the show. Check out her performances of “Boo’d Up” and “Trip” below.

Coming Up on ‘SNL’

SNL will take a few weeks off for the Thanksgiving holiday but will return live on December 1 with host Claire Foy and musical guest Anderson Paak.
