We were thrilled when we learned that Rupert Grint would be coming to American television screens in a starring role on a new CBS comedy Super Clyde.

Now, legendary actor Stephen Fry has come aboard the project.

Deadline reports that Fry will take on the co-lead role as Clyde’s butler. Clyde is your normal fast food worker with anxiety issues until he inherits a huge sum of money ($100,000 a month) from his dead uncle. He decides to use the money as his super power. In the show, we’ll see him using the cash to reward the good-hearted and take care of problems he encounters.

While we were mixed on how Grint could carry the role, the addition of Fry as co-star makes things a lot more interesting. Fry is an experienced actor and comedian. This role will be Fry’s first United States television pilot.

The pair have a Harry Potter connection: Fry voiced the Harry Potter audiobooks in the United Kingdom. Grint starred as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies. Tyler Labine will play Clyde’s brother.

At this time, Super Clyde is only in the pilot stage, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a full season pick up. CBS had had good luck with comedies over the past few years, so we trust their instinct and judgement.

Thanks to MuggleNet for the tip.
