Stephen Colbert isn’t happy with Amazon, and last night he made his feelings known in a segment that dissed the company for discouraging customers from buying Hachette books– a publishing company that produces books by Colbert himself, and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Check out what Colbert had to say in the video below!

The feud between Amazon and Hachette books is getting ugly and Steve Colbert wants you to know exactly where he stands on the matter.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of Amazon…but now I’m not just mad at Amazon, I am mad prime.” exclaims Colbert at the beginning of the segment before breaking down the issue.

In a segment that aired on Wednesday’s Colbert Report, the comedian addressed the issue and talked about how problems between Amazon and the publishing company have gotten so bad that Amazon has started trying to discourage customers from purchasing Hachette books– something the company is doing by removing the option to pre-order upcoming titles, and delaying shipment on Hachette books back by as much as three weeks in some cases.

These new implemented tactics will have a direct effect on fans of J.K. Rowling hoping to pre-order the follow-up to her book, The Cuckoo’s Calling. As Colbert points out, the pre-order button on J.K. Rowling’s new book, The Silkworm, has completely disappeared in a “vicious tactic by Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos– or should I say, Lord Bazelmore.”
