Lionsgate announced this morning that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay parts 1 and 2 have added Stef Dawson.

The actress will play Annie Cresta in the films which begin shooting back to back later this year.

In the book by Suzanne Collins, Annie is a District 4 victor who won the 70th Hunger Games and the wife of Finnick (who is played by Sam Claflin).

It’s worth nothing that she was not cast for the Catching Fire movie in which – according to the book – she is reaped for the Quarter Quell. Mags decides to take her place because she mentored Annie during her tournament.

In the book, Katniss describes Annie as “lovely if somewhat bedraggled.”

On Friday Lionsgate announced the first official Mockingjay casting audition: Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer is set to play film crew leader Cressida.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens in theaters November 21, 2014 and Mockingjay Part 2 opens November 20, 2015. Both will be directed by Francis Lawrence. Expect more casting announcements in the weeks ahead as the studio finalizes deals!

Dawson has had only smaller roles in various television shows and movies.

Fans are currently looking ahead to this November when the highly-anticipated Hunger Games movie Catching Fire hits theaters. They’re currently being treated to new glimpses of the Quarter Quell Victors.
