This morning we brought you news that Team StarKid’s Joey Richter will be taking part in a Whitney Milam webseries parodying Game of Thrones, but he’s not the only StarKid to be heading back to YouTube right now. Reckless Tortuga have released the trailer for their new series, The Clan, which will star Team StarKid alum Dylan Saunders.

Reckless Tortuga are a sketch comedy viral phenomenon and an absolutely huge presence in the web entertainment community – their channel has garnered over 236 million views and they’re not far off from a million subscribers. To put that into perspective, Team StarKid themselves currently have around 200,000 subscribers and 142 million views – so the audience that The Clan has the potential of reaching is pretty massive.
On their Twitter, Reckless Tortuga have confirmed that The Clan is “the biggest thing they’ve ever done” and that the series of 10 episodes, shot back to back, can be put together as a 90-minute movie. The Clan is produced in conjunction with gaming hub Machinima.com, and is, as the name and trailer suggests, about an online gaming group.
The Clan is still in the process of shooting all 10 episodes, so there is no official release date as of right now. However, Reckless Tortuga predict a March release.
Dylan Saunders became known to us in 2009 as Dumbledore in Team StarKid’s A Very Potter Musical, and has appeared in all of Team StarKid’s musicals except Me and My Dick. He has been a featured performer on both of Team StarKid’s live tours, as well as touring as a vocalist with YouTube stalwart George Watsky and his band.
