Team StarKid have finally given out some more details about the various performances the theater company will be putting on all over the country this fall, and how you can be there.

In a video message released last night, co-founder Brian Holden updated fans with some concrete information about StarKid’s upcoming fall appearances, including who’ll be involved and how to get tickets.

The group’s longest-running event this fall is Yes, I Am Afraid of the Dark, a new improv comedy show based on the ’90s Nickelodeon classic Are You Afraid of the Dark? This will be taking place at the iO Theatre in Chicago, over five Sundays during the fall — September 6, 13, 20 and October 11 and 18. During each performance, the cast will crowdsource an episode title and improvise an episode of the nostalgic kids’ horror show.

The cast for Yes, I Am Afraid of the Dark includes Jaime Lyn Beatty, Denise Donovan, Brian Holden, Lauren Lopez, Pat Rourke, Eric Schinzer, Meredith Stepien and Joe Walker, and Holden also announced there will be opening entertainment from StarKid-adjacent band Jim and the Povolos, and from Holy Musical B@man! composer Nick Gage. Tickets for these performances are on sale now.

Interspersed with their run of Yes, I Am Afraid of the Dark, StarKid will be taking part in two very special one-off events — Elsie Fest and A Very StarKid Reunion.

In celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the University of Michigan’s theater department, Team StarKid will be returning to their Ann Arbor alma mater on October 8 and inviting as many former castmates as possible to be involved in a big reunion concert for both friends and fans alike. The group has promised an incredible night for fans, including “a retrospective on the beginnings of StarKid, featuring music, laughs, and as many members of StarKid as we can gather in one place!” This review is likely to be the biggest and most emotional StarKid gathering since their one-night-only performance of A Very Potter Senior Year in 2012.

Holden’s video served as the first announcement of the cast members who will be in attendance, as he read out emails confirming from a massive list of StarKid alums: Allie-Faye Monka, Brian Rosenthal, Clark Baxtresser, Devin Lytle, Dylan Saunders, Eric Kahn Gale, Jaime Lynn Beatty, Jeff Blim, Joe Moses, Joe Walker, Joey Richter, Julia Albain, June Saito, Lauren Lopez, Lily Marks, Mark Swiderski, Matt Lang, Meredith Stepien, Nick Lang, Richard Campbell, and Tyler Brunsman, along with Holden himself.

As for the two StarKid alums who have broken through into serious mainstream fame — Carlos Valdes has confirmed that he won’t be able to make it due to commitments filming The Flash, but Darren Criss is currently scheduled to attend! Tickets for A Very StarKid Reunion go on sale on September 14 and fans travelling from out of town are encouraged to book accommodation in advance due to limited hotel availability in the area.

Prior to the reunion concert, members of StarKid will also be performing a set at Elsie Fest, the brand-new outdoor Broadway-industry music festival organized by Criss. Elsie Fest takes place on September 27 in New York City and will also feature appearances from musical theater superstars Aaron Tveit and Lea Salonga, along with a solo set from Criss, of course. You can get tickets for Elsie Fest, including VIP packages, now.

Since Team StarKid did not perform a fully staged musical during 2015, Holden also used the video update to encourage fans to speak up about what they’d like to see the troupe bring to YouTube this year.
