It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the first full Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is here!

Star Wars Celebration begins today and with it comes the premiere of the first full Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. Director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy took the stage to debut the new preview and discuss the film with the cast in front of diehard fans who camped out overnight to attend the event.

It’s been a while since the first Force Awakens teaser trailer premiered all the way back in November, so this new Star Wars trailer gives us a great look at the film.

Highlights include the Star Destroyer laying in shambles in the desert, Darth Vader’s destroyed mask, and Harrison Ford’s grand return as Han Solo.

We also got several new photos today, including a first look at Daisy Ridley (Rey), Oscar Isaac (Poe), and John Boyega (Finn) in their roles. The three new stars made a surprise appearance at Star Wars Celebration and shared new details about their characters: Finn will be in “incredible danger” when we first meet him, but we still don’t know if he’s a Stormtrooper or if he’s just in disguise as one. Poe is described as “the best frickin’ pilot in the galaxy.” As for Rey, we’ll be meeting her as a scavenger on the new planet of Jakku:

Asked about bringing new female characters into the Star Wars universe, Kennedy had an exciting announcement: “Great [female] characters,” are coming, she said, “really strong women, not only in Episode 7, but going forward, [there are] going to be a lot.”

Old favorites made their return to Star Wars Celebration too:

BB-8 made his debut today and is a real robot just like R2-D2. Trailer aside, he was one of the highlights of the 70-minute event:

A photo of Jakku, formerly believed to be Tatooine, was also revealed (Kathleen took this photo on her iPhone):

In addition to premiering at Star Wars Celebration, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will play in front of Avengers: Age of Ultron in theaters around the world beginning later this month. It makes sense that Disney would put the trailer for the biggest movie in front of their other biggest, and while the addition of the trailer might not boost the already certainly enormous box office Avengers: Age of Ultron is likely to receive, it’s a good move for Disney to get the most excitement they can for the movie.

Star Wars Celebration is a huge event with many notable guests. Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy participated in the kickoff panel and actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid, and several other performers associated with the Star Wars saga will all are scheduled participants.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens cast includes new Star Wars members John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Chong, Crystal Clarke, and Pip Andersen. Actors returning to the franchise include Harrison Ford, Fisher, Hamill, Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.
