In a very unexpected move, Disney has decided to run the first full Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer in front of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This, of course, makes a lot of sense. As Avengers: Age of Ultron is likely doomed for box office failure, Disney has realized that the likely flop will need all the help it can get. Since Star Wars: The Force Awakens will easily be their biggest trailer of the year, they’ve decided to put it in front of the Avengers to attempt to draw people to the theater, but who knows if it will work.

Just in case you aren’t sure, Drax, that’s a joke. There was no way Disney wasn’t going to capitalize on the fact that they have what will almost certainly be the two highest grossing movies of the year by putting the trailer for one in front of the other. That being said, it would have been nice, at least in theory, for Disney to put the Star Wars trailer in front of a smaller movie to boost its box office total, but that would never happen.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will actually debut at the Star Wars Celebration convention that runs from April 16 to April 19. What we don’t know yet is when the trailer will be released online. While it would make sense to wait to release it until Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters, a bootlegged copy would undoubtedly get out, and it does Disney no good to have people watching a version that isn’t high quality.

What will the trailer contain? That remains to be seen. We don’t yet know if we’ll get our first looks at some as of yet unseen characters. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the return of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. Will we get our first hint at the plot?

Are you even more excited for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ now that you will be able to see a new ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ trailer?
