Speaking of Star Wars: The Force Awakens deleted scenes, a recent report from The Independent reveals there will be seven or eight scenes, including new moments with Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford). The revelation came when a newspaper spoke to the film’s editors about what to expect in terms of deleted scenes for the DVD/Blu-ray:

“I honestly think that what is in the film is exactly what needs to be in the film, and what isn’t remains fun but not necessary,” said editor Maryann Brandon.

“JJ [Abrams, director] really wanted it to be a two-hour movie, and we did strive to do that. But then, at a certain point, we felt like the film is really working for the very few people that we were able to show it to.”

The editors went on to say that none of the deleted scenes that were cut felt like they needed to be added to the film when they reconsidered them.
