In a new special look released by the entertainment giants, we not only get some peeks into Rise of Skywalker, but we get a really amazing look back at how far the Star Wars universe has come.

Though the Star Wars fandom has been fraught with some controversy, especially recently, this video reminds us why we all fell in love with this amazing franchise in the first place. Check out the video, and maybe have a few tissues ready, because this one is definitely going to get you right in the feelings.

It can be easy to forget the journey the Skywalker Saga has taken us on, and how massive the impact of these movies has been on all of us. With the Rise of Skywalker hitting movie theaters in December, we are truly witnessing the end of a massive era in movies.

One of the coolest things about this special look isn’t just getting a behind-the-scenes peek into one of the biggest franchises in Hollywood. It’s seeing the wide range of people impacted by these flicks.

Other television and movie writers found inspiration in the films, Prince Harry and Prince William are shown playing with lightsabers, and there’s even an appearance from our favorite Broadway star, Lin-Manuel Miranda (who, according to his Twitter, visited set on a day off in Wales and was put in a costume by JJ Abrams –Miranda doesn’t expect to be in the actual film).

The Star Wars movies have impacted people from all walks of life, and this amazing retrospective does a great job of showing this franchise’s huge impact. You definitely want to be there when the Skywalker Saga takes its final bow this December.

You can watch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it premieres in theaters on December 20, and you can stream the other movies in the Skywalker Saga on Netflix and Disney+.
