Anyone who’s into Star Wars will appreciate the epic aesthetic of this Star Wars Rebels season finale trailer; it’s really that cool.

The trailer — because at nearly a minute and a half, this is no mere “promo” — makes it clear that Star Wars Rebels will be leveling up in “Fire Across the Galaxy.” Slick, somber, and cinematic, the trailer for the Star Wars Rebels season finale promises serious drama — and potentially devastating consequences.

Who will fall? Who will fall? Nobody told us somebody was going to fall! We didn’t sign up to be emotionally devastated by a Disney show!

…but okay, we’re also totally psyched.

We learn quite a few things beyond “expect devastation” from the trailer for the Star Wars Rebels season finale. For one thing, Kanan’s torture clearly was not a one-and-done event; the Inquisitor continues to blast our poor, brave Jedi, and we can’t help but wonder whether or not this will effect Kanan’s ability to engage in the epic lightsaber battle against the pointy-toothed Sith.

The trailer also suggests that the rebels’ stolen TIE fighter will make a colorful return in “Fire Across the Galaxy.” And even more importantly, it seems that Hera may be making a choice contrary to Fulcrum’s wishes.

“Kanan’s family,” she tells the crew. “And we’ve all lost enough family to the Empire.”

Could this also be a hint that “Fire Across the Galaxy” will divulge some of Hera’s mysterious history? And a space wedding? The fearless Twi’lek pilot has been a closed book through the first season, but perhaps desperate times will encourage a little disclosure.

If the Star Wars Rebels season finale trailer wasn’t enough to get you excited, be sure to check out two smaller promos that tease the return of none other than Darth Vader himself in the season finale.

In other words, the space-poop will definitely be hitting the space-fan. Imminently.

Star Wars Rebels season 1, episode 13, “Fire Across the Galaxy,” will air on Monday, March 2 at 9:00 p.m. on Disney XD.
