The crew of the Ghost fights to save one of their own when Star Wars Rebels season 1, episode 12 airs tonight.
The penultimate episode of season 1, titled “Rebel Resolve,” will focus on the team’s risky attempts to rescue Kanan after his capture in last week’s episode.
“The rebels attack an Imperial courier hoping to glean information that will help them lead a dangerous rescue attempt,” says Disney.
In the last episode of Star Wars Rebels, Grand Moff Tarkin arrived on Lothal to put an end to the “insurgents.” Tarkin proved his ruthlessness by killing two Imperial officers, and was waiting when the crew of the Ghost hacked an Imperial communications tower. Kanan allowed himself to be captured so the rest could escape, and Ezra broadcasted their message of rebellion and hope just before Tarkin destroyed the tower – with Kanan in his clutches.
Two sneak peeks from “Rebel Resolve” make it clear that rescuing Kanan will not be as easy – or agreeable – as fans might hope it will be. First, Hera is forced to stand by a painful alternative perspective on a potential rescue.
… but star fights happen anyway.
With only two episodes left in Star Wars Rebels season 1, it’s hard to predict just what’s ahead for the rebels – but we suspect it won’t be anything like we expect.
