The characters of Star Wars Rebels are joining the Funko galaxy with a new set of Pop! figures.
The Star Wars Rebels line of Funko Pops, announced earlier today, is gloriously comprehensive. Though the first wave doesn’t yet include any villains, it does represent all six lead characters of the Disney XD series. Most of the characters follow their designs from season 1, with one or two exceptions.
Notably, Ezra comes with his old blue blaster/lightsaber — and without the scars on his face earned in the season 1 finale.
Kanan, Hera, and Zeb also appear in their earliest incarnations. Kanan has his lightsaber and goatee, Hera is armed with a blaster, and Zeb carries his Lasan bo-rifle.
Chopper is posed in a suitably irate position, undoubtedly mid-rant about the indignities of droid-hood.
The last main figure in the Star Wars Rebels Funko Pop collection is Sabine, who wields a blaster in each hand and wears her season 2 hair coloring.
Two special edition Pops also join the lineup. Ahsoka Tano, sure to be a coveted figure, will be exclusive to Hot Topic. Fans can also pick up Sabine in her Mandalorian helmet from Walgreens.
Star Wars already has a massive presence in Funko’s catalogue, though the Prequel Era is not well-represented. It’s great to see the brave beings of Star Wars Rebels join the lineup alongside the dozens of figures from the Original Trilogy, The Force Awakens, and the forthcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
