A Star Wars Episode VII character breakdown has reportedly been leaked online. The list is unconfirmed by the studio, but could provide insight into J.J. Abrahms’ plans for the franchise.
Schmoville released a list of Star Wars Episode VII character descriptions today. The site is reporting that the list showed up on a well known casting website. We are still keeping our skeptical glasses on with this one, but it can’t hurt to look, right?
The list is pretty vague, but another site, which claimed the list was “100 percent confirmed,” prefaced its release by saying they had verified that these are lead characters and open casting would begin this week in the U.K.
According to the schmoville, these character breakdowns could be part of a casting call for the next Star Wars film:
[YOUNG MAN] Early 20s. Not classically handsome. He is witty and smart. Physically fit.
[MAN] Late 20s. Physically fit, handsome and confident.[YOUNG WOMAN] Late teens. Physically fit, independent and with a great sense of humor.
[YOUNG WOMAN #2] Late teens. Tough, smart, physically fit.
[MAN – 40S] Physically fit, military type.
[MAN – 30ISH] An intellectual.
[MAN – 65-75] Tough and opinionated.
While bleeding cool is confirming the legitimacy of the list, at this point, no one from Disney, Lucasfilm, or Bad Robot has said anything. In fact, the production team has remained pretty secretive about the whole project.
So far, we know that Abrams is directing, Michael Ardnt is writing, and that Abrams and George Lucas haven’t spoken about it yet. We also know that original stars, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams are expected to return.
With production set to start in 2014, we may be seeing the beginnings of a a shift out of rumorville and into the wonderful world of studio-approved confirmations. We don’t know how telling this list is of what we can expect, or if it’s telling of anything at all, but we figured it would give us something to think about while we wait.
