This morning Disney and Lucasfilm announced the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. While some stars are familiar faces, others aren’t.

In a press release this morning, director J.J. Abrams spoke about the excitement surrounding his cast. “It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
What are your favorite roles for each of the cast members?
Since the announcement this morning, many have expressed concerns about the lack of female characters in the lead cast. Out of the thirteen announced today, only two are female. Hypable writer Michal summed it up nicely in this tweet:

In fairness to Disney and Lucasfilm, additional female characters will very likely be announced over the next year. The problem is that they won’t be leads.
