Daisy Ridley is training hard for Star Wars: Episode VIII, and has become quite the master of Wushu, a style of Chinese martial arts.

Last week, Daisy Ridley (who plays Rey in the Star Wars saga) shared a post about social media, acknowledging that she only shares material of herself at her most put-together.

“My skin isn’t great so I don’t post no make up selfies, much as I’d like to; I have a trainer urging me on in workouts and don’t include all the times I say ‘I can’t do it’ and I don’t smile all the time but I like to share the pictures where I am,” she wrote.

Here’s an example of Ridley at her best, showing off her impressive Wushu skills:

Her trainer, Liang Yang, also appears in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as the blaster-sword-wielding Stormtooper TR-8R.

Although she does note that she was the one requesting for him to teach her these moves, it’s fairly logical to conclude that Ridley’s Wushu training is lightsaber-related. And the fact that she’s becoming so adept at the martial artform is a pretty good indicator that we’ll be seeing her wield a lightsaber with considerable skill in Episode VIII.
