We don’t know anything about the first Star Wars solo spinoff film, but a new rumor suggests it could star Aaron Paul, potentially as a young Han Solo.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the other upcoming films have been and will continue to be some of the most heavily rumored about films of all time. We don’t report them all as many of them aren’t to be believed, but this rumor looks like it could potentially be truthful.

The website Making Star Wars is reporting that they’re hearing a significant piece of information from a reputable source. How reputable is this rumor? This source has previously supplied them with Star Wars: The Force Awakens set photos and more.

Apparently, the first Star Wars solo film — the film that will be released in 2016, right in-between Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Episode VIII — will center around Han Solo. Aaron Paul is “looking to be attached” to the film, and that some of the filming will overlap with Episode VIII.

The rumor certainly doesn’t claim that Paul would be playing Han Solo himself in the film, but it’s not hard to see him in the role either as he does look the part. Keeping in mind that you’d likely want to cast that big role before filling out the rest of the cast, it’s probably more likely that Paul would be up for the Han Solo role than a supporting role.

Again, we don’t know if this rumor is true or not. All that is currently known about the spinoff is that it will be directed by Gareth Edwards from a screenplay by Gary Whitta. Given how much Edwards’ Godzilla was influenced by Steven Spielberg’s movies, a Indiana Jones-esque Han Solo movie wouldn’t be all that surprising.
