SFX showcases actor Zachary Quinto as Spock in Star Trek Into Darkness on the cover of the latest issue of “the galaxy’s greatest sci-fi magazine.”
In the last few weeks Star Trek Into Darkness has been ramping up its marketing as the first poster and full teaser trailer have now been released. A new synopsis was also released last month that says “our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.”
Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana (Captain Kirk and Uhura) will be hosting the Academy’s Sci-Tech Awards on February 9 in Los Angeles. This awards ceremony is separate from the main Oscar event, which is on February 24 at the Dolby Theater. Fans also got a chance to check out nine minutes of the new Star Trek film, which played during the previews of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Now we have Spock himself, gracing the cover of SFX on the latest issue of “the galaxy’s greatest sci-fi magazine.”
