A new Star Trek Into Darkness motion poster was just released which features Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice over from the film’s trailer blended into the film’s poster. Also released is a behind-the-scenes video of the cast and crew which was previously leaked, but is now available in HD.

Star Trek Into Darkness has been a bit overshadowed as of late, as its director J.J. Abrams has officially joined on to direct the next Star Wars film. Paramount has now gotten their marketing back on track and have just released an interesting motion poster featuring Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice over from the trailer. Also, despite Cumberbatch downright denying that he’s playing the fan-favorite villain, rumors are still swirling as to whether he will play Khan. We imagine fans would agree that no matter who he’s playing in the new film, he sounds like one incredible villain below:

Motion posters seem to be a staple for upcoming tent-pole films, as we saw one for The Wolverine not too long ago and one for The Dark Knight Rises back in early July of 2012. We have to say, this one isn’t exactly mind-blowing by any stretch, but Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice over is just as riveting as it was when we first heard it in the official Star Trek Into Darkness trailer.

In other Star Trek Into Darkness news, a behind-the-scenes video of the cast and crew was leaked a few weeks back, but today we have the official video in HD. Director J.J. Abrams discusses the action and scale of the film and how excited he is to use IMAX and 3D in the new film and we also get a few words from Star Trek stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana.

Star Trek Into Darkness opens May 17, 2013. It is the sequel to the wildly successful 2009 Star Trek which was also directed by Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Alice Eve, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood and Peter Weller.
