Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy passed away this past year, and the cast of Star Trek Beyond are bringing attention to one of the actor’s favorite charities by offering one lucky fan a chance to visit the new movie’s set.

In the video seen below, Spock actor Zachary Quinto talks a bit about a charity which was near and dear to Nimoy’s heart, and talks about how he became great friends with the legendary Star Trek actor.

The Star Trek Beyond family has dedicated this week to honor the memory and legacy of Leonard Nimoy and a cause he cared greatly for: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

As a member of the honorary crew of Star Trek Beyond, you’ll visit the set, meet the cast, and be among the first to witness scenes from the latest voyage of the USS Enterprise. This is a way to honor Nimoy’s favorite charity, as well as honor the legendary actor.

Star Trek Beyond’s director, Justin Lin, has been more open about discussing his previous projects, and we hope to see loads of promotion for the third Star Trek film which will see the main cast return, along with some great newcomers.
