Stan Lee returned to Twitter to share a heartfelt message to the late Steve Ditko.

After taking nearly a month off of Twitter, the Marvel mogul has returned to honor the man with whom he co-created both the Spider-Man and Doctor Strange comics, within the Marvel universe. Steve Ditko passed away in June 2018, at the age of 90.

During Ditko’s life, there wasn’t always love between the pair, with Ditko leaving Marvel in 1966 in pursuit of other creative ventures in the industry. However, the bond they formed while working together was obviously stronger than any differences, in the end.

In the video, Lee calls Ditko “one of the most important creators in the comic book business.” He continued the praise by saying that Ditko “told a story like a fine movie director would.”
