Stan Lee will add Agent Carter to his repertoire of cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The legendary comic book creator will appear in Agent Carter season 1, episode 4, titled “The Blitzkrieg Button.” Lee’s cameo will coincide with the return of Dominic Cooper’s Howard Stark to the Agent Carter scene.
In fact, Lee is credited as “man (next to Howard Stark)” in the press release – hinting at a riveting performance from the 92-year-old “Generalissimo.” Lee, who has cameo appearances in the majority of Marvel’s films, had his first Marvel television appearance last season on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Though a small role, it is possible that Lee’s appearance may take place during a significant scene in Agent Carter season 1, episode 4. According to the synopsis for “The Blitzkrieg Button,” Stark’s return will not exactly herald sunshine and rainbows for our intrepid Peggy Carter.
“Peggy may be in more trouble than usual when fugitive Howard Stark suddenly returns for mysterious reasons,” Marvel teases. “And Chief Dooley chases a new clue all the way to Europe that threatens to destroy Peggy’s future at the SSR.”

The fourth episode of Agent Carter will air on Jan. 27, indicating that Agent Carter will be taking a break for the week of the 20th. After the two-hour premiere of the eight-episode series, a break was all but guaranteed, and we’re admittedly pleased that the week off will take place earlier than later in the breakneck season.
But before Stark’s return and Stan Lee’s cameo, Agent Carter will be back next week for episode 3, titled “Tide and Time.”
“As Agent Carter closes in on Howard Stark’s stolen technology,” ABC says, “Peggy’s secret mission could unravel when the SSR arrests Jarvis and a secret is revealed.”
Agent Carter season 1, episode 3, “Tide and Time,” will air on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
