A sequel to Nickelodeon’s 2004 TV-to-movie adaptation of SpongeBob SquarePants will begin shooting next week in Georgia.

What’s more, the Associated Press reports that Antonio Banderas has been cast as a pirate. It’s unclear if he’ll be a villain to SpongeBob or if he’ll have a friendly role like David Hasselhoff did in the original movie. Like the original, the sequel will mix animation with live-action.

SpongeBob SquarePants 2 is set to be released February 13, 2015. Meanwhile, Nickelodeon is preparing a tenth season of the original show for television. The show had faced cancelation several years ago but was ultimately kept around because of its continually successful ratings. It is Nickelodeon’s most successful show ever and MTV’s most-distributed worldwide.

The original SpongeBob movie made $140 million at the box office. With continued interest in the franchise and inflation, we can see this sequel doing just as well if not better than the original.
