Marvel’s new Spider-Man, Tom Holland, talks about his role as Spider-Man for the first time on video and reveals how he was injured on the set of Captain America: Civil War.

While speaking with HeyUGuys, Holland talked about how crazy promoting was getting, and that it was merely a warmup for the complete insanity that’s to come when he’s first seen as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. Watch the interview with our new, young Spider-Man below via HeyUGuys:

In the video interview Tom Holland would go on to reveal that the injuries seen on his face were sustained during an accident on the set of Captain America: Civil War. Read what the Spider-Man actor had to say below:

“No, no violence. It was my own mistake. I basically fell over and bashed my face in front of about two hundred crew members, so not my most heroic moment! It was luckily just before my last shot; they were like, ‘Roll cameras!’, I was getting into position, everything went wrong, and they still did the take anyway. It looks great and they’ll probably just CGI out all the blood, and yeah, I was very lucky.”

He seems pretty grounded for a kid who has scored basically the biggest role of the decade. Fans have been dying to see Spider-Man join Marvel’s Avengers’ franchise, and while he’ll first be seen in Captain America: Civil War when it hits theaters on May 6, 2016, we can’t wait to see what the studio does for his first solo film.

The actor also mentioned in the video that his friend, Chris Hemsworth, called to congratulate him after he scored the Spider-Man role, but gave him some advice on what was to come over the next few years.

Tom Holland’s first solo Spider-Man movie with Marvel will be released on July 28, 2017.
