Can’t get enough of Spider-Man, but feeling some Peter Parker fatigue? You’re in luck. The first trailer for Into the Spider-Verse just dropped.

Miles Morales has already made his television debut across several Marvel animated shows, but now getting the movie treatment in Into the Spider-Verse.

The trailer, which debuted at Brazil’s Comic Con Experience (CCXP), is packed with eye-catchingly colorful visuals and an art direction that is a little out of the norm for Marvel’s animated projects. We’re definitely digging that, especially as it will truly set Miles’ big screen debut apart from any previous Spider-Man movies.

You can check out the first trailer for Into the Spider-Verse below.

Into the Spider-Verse was written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, of LEGO Movie fame, and will be entirely separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s continuity. In Miles’ universe, as you may have noticed from the trailer, Peter Parker is dead, and Miles has taken over as Spider-Man in his place.

There’s currently no synopsis for the movie, though we do know some of our cast. Miles Morales will be voiced by Shameik Moore (Dope), with Marshala Ali (Moonlight) and Brian Tyree (Atlanta) as Aaron and Jefferson Davis respectively. Liev Schreiber will be taking on the role of the Spider-Verse‘s villain, though we don’t know who that might be just yet.

Peter Ramsey (Rise of the Guardians) and Bob Persichetti will be directing the film, and it is slated to premiere December 14, 2018. What better Christmas gift is there?
