Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming won’t hit theaters until next year, but a sequel is already in the works and the studio has set a release date.

On Thursday, Sony released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming to great acclaim from fans who are looking for something a little different in their Peter Parker. The movie features some great moments from Tom Holland and some hilarious banter between Peter and Tony Stark.

Deadline is now reporting that Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 is not only in the works, but it already has a release date of July 5, 2019.

A summer 2019 release date puts the sequel two years after the original and just a few months after the release date for the currently untitled Avengers 4, which is set to premiere in May 2019.

The announcement for the Spider-Man sequel pushes back Sony’s Bad Boys 4 from July 3 to a May 24, 2019 release date.

Since we already met Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War and fans reacted to him positively, there’s little doubt Homecoming will be successful. Not only is it avoiding rehashing Peter Parker’s superhero origin story, but it marks a team-up between Sony and Marvel.

Marvel knocks it out of the park far more often than not, and since Peter is already an established Marvel Cinematic Universe character, you can guarantee there will be plenty of tie-ins and Easter eggs to keep Homecoming interesting.

Homecoming will see Peter going up against Vulture, as played by Michael Keaton. Other noted cameos aside from Robert Downey Jr. also include Donald Glover and Zendaya.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ hits theaters on July 7, 2017
