Be still our 90s-pop-music hearts! According to reliable sources, the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys could be about to embark on a massive world tour!

Though it’s still in the very, very early talks of a possibility, the two pop groups could be hitting the road together very soon. According to MTV News (via The Sun), Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys confirmed the conversation.

“We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls,” BSB’s Brian Littrell told U.K. newspaper, The Sun.

2014 marks the 20 year anniversary of the Spice Girls as a group. The time is now or never, as their recent song “Headlines” suggests!

However, according to the same report, the world tour may not be all five Spice Girls. Though the Spice Girls reunited in 2012 for the London Olympics (which was incredible), Victoria Beckham has gone on record saying that she knew during the Girls’ 2008 reunion tour that she was no longer interested in being a Spice Girl. Speaking to Vogue Paris, Victoria had this to say about the reunion tour from 2008: “I realized it was finished for good in 2008, when we reformed for our reunion tour. It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere. It wasn’t a lack of respect for the girls or the audience, but the passion just wasn’t there.”

Though it would be disappointing for the Spice Girls to reunite without one of the original members, the truth is, fans of both the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls would flock to see both groups come together with or without Beckham.

Melanie B, who has often talked about how much she loves performing with the Spice Girls, thinks it will be a shame if they don’t do something. Talking to MTV news, Mel said “It will be our 20th year anniversary next year so I’m hoping we do get together and do something,” Mel B told MTV News. “It kind of would be a shame if we didn’t.”
