Steve Carell and John Malkovich welcome you to the Space Force in the first teaser trailer for Netflix’s newest workplace comedy series.

It’s been over a year since Space Force was first announced, but we finally have our first look at Steve Carell’s newest workplace comedy series.

The show follows the story of four-star General Mark R. Naird as he begrudgingly teams up with an eccentric scientist to get the U.S. Military’s newest agency ready for liftoff.

The series will be the reunion of Steve Carell and Greg Daniels, whose previous work The Office has become so popular that it’s some people’s entire personality.

Steve Carell and Greg Daniels co-created the series and will executive produce, with Daniels likewise acting as showrunner.

BAFTA-nominated filmmaker Paul King (Paddington, Paddington 2) directed the first two episodes of the new series, including the pilot.

Space Force will be led by Golden Globe winner Steve Carell, best known for his other starring role in a Greg Daniels production. He will play General Mark R. Naird, an air force pilot who ends up in command of the new military branch.

Joining him at Space Force will be Lisa Kudrow of Friends fame, as his wife Maggie, and Diana Silvers (Booksmart, Ma) as their daughter Erin Naird.

John Malkovich (Bird Box) will play the eccentric scientist Dr. Adrian Mallory, the Head Science Advisor at the Space Force who is hoping to prevent space from becoming the next great international battlefield. Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) plays F. Tony Scarapiducci, a self-centered media consultant whose Machiavellian goals only sometimes line up with those of Mark or Space Force.

Jimmy O. Yang (Crazy Rich Asians, Silicon Valley) plays Dr. Chan Kaifang, Doctor Mallory’s right hand man, with Tawny Newsome as Angela Ali, an ambitious and competitive helicopter pilot, and Alex Sparrow as Bobby Telatovich, a charming observer from the Russian Government.

The 10-episode first season of Space Force premieres on Netflix on May 29.
