Southside With You is all about Barack and Michelle Obama’s early relationship. No, seriously. There’s a trailer and everything.

Directed by Richard Tanne and starring Parker Sawyers and Tika Sumpter as Barack and Michelle Obama respectively, Southside With You is an actual, somehow legal, movie about young Barack.

It’s executively produced by John Legend, and tells the story of the couple’s first date in Chicago:

According to the official synopsis, the movie, “Chronicles the summer 1989 afternoon when the future President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, wooed his future First Lady on an epic first date across Chicago’s South Side.”

It’s interesting that this movie is being released while President Obama is still in office — he officially steps down on January 20, 2017.

This POTUS has been a lot more accessible than his precedents, however. Even before he was elected in 2008, Barack Obama appeared on late night talk shows, more candid about his personal life than we’re used to.

Ever since they allowed him to have his own Twitter account he’s also been more outspoken on social media, and as he nears the end of his second term, we’ve come to expect a lot more transparency about what it’s like to hold the presidency, and what he feels about certain presidential candidates and policies.

Southside With You is going to be an intimate look at the early days of the Obamas’ enviable relationship, and we’re curious just how John Legend and his team are gonna pull it off (and what the Obamas themselves will have to say about it).

Southside With You will be released on August 26, 2016.
