Sony is switching up release dates for Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Uncharted, and more amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Movie fans hoping to soon be able to enjoy some of Sony’s most highly anticipated features will have to sit tight.

According to Variety, the studio is once again shifting some things around when it comes to its release slate as a direct result of the current coronavirus pandemic.

On Thursday (January 22), the studio announced that they’ve chosen to push back the release date of quite a few big titles.

First up, Ghostbusters: Afterlife will now hit the big screen on November 11, while the studio’s family sequel, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will now hop onto the big screen on June 11. Meanwhile, Sony’s take on Cinderella starring Camila Cabello has been pushed back to July 16.

Fans itching to experience Uncharted starring Tom Holland, and/or Morbius starring Jared Leto will have to wait even longer than initially expected.

Though Sony initially planned to release Uncharted this summer, the action flick has now been given a releases date of February 11, 2022.

Meanwhile, its comic book adaptation, Morbius will instead hit the big screen on January 21, 2022 instead of in October 2021 as originally planned.

Sony’s reworking of its release schedule comes hot on the heels of word that MGM has opted to push the release date of its upcoming Bond film, No Time To Die from April 2021 to November 11, 2021.

With theaters no closer to opening their doors once more, we’re sure Sony won’t be the last studio that finds itself having to head back to the drawing board when it comes to its release slate.
