Season 11’s top 18 dancers will take the stage to perform live, and hopefully avoid the next round of eliminations.

Last week, the top 20 dancers performed for the first time with their new partners, and Nick Garcia and Malene Ostergaard were the first dancers sent home. America cast their votes for last week’s routines, and we’ll find out tonight which two dancers will be going home this week.

At the top of the show, the judges will reveal the bottom six contestants. Then all the couples will perform, for one last chance to show the judges they deserve to be there. At the end of the show, Nigel will address each dancer in the bottom six, and announce which guy and which girl will be going home.

This top 20 seems to have already grown very close, and last week’s eliminations were very emotional. Odds are, this week’s will be just as painful.

We’ll also be treated to a performance from A Great Big World, a band that can thank SYTYCD for much of their success. Last season, winner Amy Yackima and all-star Robert Roldan performed a beautiful routine to AGBW’s “Say Something.” Christina Aguilera saw the performance and was so impressed with the song, she called up the band and begged to re-record the song as a duet. They debuted this new version on season 5 of The Voice, and the rest is history. A Great Big World will be returning to the So You Think You Can Dance stage this week for a live performance.
