The votes have been counted, and America’s favorite dancers for season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance have been revealed. Do you think America made the right choice?
Season 10 has seen some of SYTYCD‘s strongest dancers ever, and some of the most memorable routines, but unfortunately the end has come all too soon. However, it’s just the beginning for season 10 contestants voted America’s favorite male and female dancers: DuShaunt “Fik-shun” Stegall and Amy Yakima!
It was a very emotional end to a very emotional season, as we watched Fik-shun and Amy, partners from the very beginning of the season, share the stage in their victory moment.
Both winners were very gracious to their fellow finalists, and spoke tearfully with host Cat Deeley. Fik-shun fought through his tears to say, “This means everything to me. I’m so happy everybody!” before thanking his friends and family for their support. Amy’s tearful parents looked on from the audience as she said, “I can’t believe it! I never thought I’d be here! I didn’t even think I’d make it to Vegas – I’m standing here!”
Aaron Turner and Jasmine Harper were runners-up, but that’s certainly nothing to sneeze at this season. Season 10 has been one of the most incredible seasons we have ever seen from SYTYCD, and has introduced us to some of the best dancers ever to grace the SYTYCD stage.
Aaron and Jasmine have been stand-outs all season, and have barely ever put a foot wrong. But in the end, it comes down to America’s preference, and in this case, Fik-shun and Amy, and their irresistible bubbly personalities, nudged out their competitors.
