Last night, Empire star Taraji P. Henson hosted SNL for the first time, with musical guest Mumford and Sons. Check out our recap of the hilarious episode.

In the cold open for the episode, Kate McKinnon brought her unique Hillary Clinton impression as they spoofed Hillary’s potential presidential campaign announcement. The sketch featured a cameo by SNL alum Darrell Hammond, who was known for his spot-on portrayal of President Bill Clinton.

In another sketch, Kate McKinnon plays an out-of-touch former theater legend who came to QVC to sell her new “three way poncho,” but she is sort of unaware of what she is selling. Check out the hilarious sketch with Aidy Bryant as the three way poncho model.

In the Digital sketch of the night, SNL spoofed Game of Thrones with a new, more modern element of the hit HBO drama.

Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy returned to Weekend Update this week, played by Vanessa Bayer. The sketch even included a cameo with Billy Crystal as Jacob’s father.

In one of the later episodes of the night, Henson brought her Empire character Cookie to a Sesame Street sketch. Which included some puns about the Cookie Monster. Fans of Empire will find this particular sketch hilarious.

Musical guest Mumford and Sons also performed during last night’s episode of SNL. Check out those performances of “The Wolf” and “Believe” below:

During last night’s episode it was announced that Avengers: Age of Ultron star Scarlett Johannson will host SNL when it returns on May 2, which is a day after the movie will be released in theaters.
