Last night Seth Rogen hosted SNL for the third time in his career. He also got some help from a couple of famous friends.

As we predicted a few days ago, given that Rogen and James Franco are such good friends it was inevitable that Franco would show up. Friends Zooey Deschanel (New Girl) and Taylor Swift also dropped by during the opening monologue. And yes, there was mention of Franco’s Instagram scandal:

In the first sketch of the night, Rogen played a D.A.R.E. officer who had a lot of problems trying to convince a classroom that doing drugs is actually not a good thing.

In an awkward but hilarious clip, Aidy Bryant played a woman with broken arms who made a birthday dinner all about her. At one point in the sketch you can see Cecily Strong almost break character from laughing. Can you catch the moment?

James Franco joined cast member Mike O’Brien in a digital short about monsters getting reconstructive surgery.

British crooner Ed Sheeran performed songs “Don’t” and “Sing” on SNL as well. Check out the full performance of both songs below:
