Melissa McCarthy hosted SNL yet again last night, with musical guest Kanye West. And as expected, she nailed it.

Melissa McCarthy is on her way to the five-timer club. In fact, she made mention of it in her opening monologue which included an elaborate dance performance. But the truth is she has only hosted four times as of this episode, so she will have to wait one more time before she enters the elusive club.

The digital sketch of the night focused on the recent controversy surrounding Beyoncé’s new song and her subsequent Super Bowl performance. In the sketch, white people slowly start to realize that Beyoncé is black.

The episode was full of incredible sketches that really seemed to focus in on McCarthy’s strong skills at sketch comedy performing. One of the first sketches of the night featured McCarthy playing a character who was being filmed for her reactions in a movie theater. As expected, McCarthy took her physical comedy to another level with this one!

McCarthy also played a weird, socially unaware woman who was not meant to be on the dating scene, but found herself being coached at a bar by someone who was meant to help her. Watch closely as Leslie Jones continually breaks because she’s laughing so hard at McCarthy’s bizarre look and dialogue.

Pete Davidson was featured as the son of Melissa McCarthy’s character in a sketch where he has to awkwardly watch a sex scene in a movie with his parents during movie night.

Weekend Update pulled out some hilarious sketches this episode. Vanessa Bayer impersonated a spot-on Rachel from Friends, while Leslie Jones talked about the type of guy she wants (besides Colin Jost) for Valentine’s Day.

Kanye West not only performed two new songs from his brand new album but also featured in a sketch where Kyle Mooney wanted to freestyle rap battle him. If you know Mooney’s style of comedy, you know this can’t possibly end well. Check out all three videos below.

SNL will take a few weeks off before returning on March 5 with host Jonah Hill and musical guest Future.
