Last night Matthew McConaughey hosted SNL with musical guest Adele. Check out some of the highlights from the episode.

The cold open for last night’s episode of SNL featured a spoof of Fox News and their handling of the Syrian refugee crisis. The sketch featured a return of Jay Pharoah’s spot on impersonation of Ben Carson.

Matthew McConaughey’s opening monologue was a recap of his career and wasn’t really funny at all. You do, however, learn where the “alright, alright, alright” saying came from.

The first digital sketch of the night featured a family arguing over popular current events until the young girl at the table turns on Adele and makes everything better for everyone.

In the first sketch of the night, McConaughey played a Blues singer with Keenan, who didn’t quite understand the concept of what Blues music is.

Another sketch featured Matthew McConaughey playing a 3D Bio-Printed man where the audience has to figure out who of the three men on a stage isn’t organically a man.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams made a cameo letting fans take a look at some of the screen tests for the new movie. The screen tests featured cameos by the movie’s stars John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, as well as Emma Stone, Michael Bublé and Jon Hamm. However the best impression goes to Aidy Bryant’s Naomi Judd.

Only a day removed from her highly-anticipated third album, Adele performed “Hello” and “When We Were Young.” Check out the hair-raising performance of the latter below.

SNL will take a brief hiatus for the Thanksgiving holiday and return with a new episode on December 6, with host Ryan Gosling and musical guest Leon Bridges.

And just in case you missed it, mark your calendars now. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host SNL on December 19 with musical guest Bruce Springsteen!
