Last night Larry Rudolph hosted SNL with musical guest the 1975. Check out the highlights from the politically charged episode!

The cold open of the night featured a monologue by Taran Killam playing Republican presidential frontrunner Ted Cruz.

Larry David opened the show with his predictable observational humor that he has built a career on. This time, it was about how he’s not really a host — he’s a guest.

In the first sketch of the night Keenan Thompson had to choose who to shoot and who not to shoot in an FBI firearms training. The sketch featured Larry David as Kevin Roberts.

Larry David, of course, brought back his Bernie Sanders impression in a digital sketch spoofing Curb Your Enthusiasm titled “Bern Your Enthusiasm.”

Democratic Presidential nominee Bernie Sanders stopped by to make a cameo himself in a sketch featuring a sinking boat trying to evacuate survivors. Sanders is sick of the 1% getting the preferential treatment.

Other famous names dropped by the set at Studio 8H. During Weekend Update, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson stopped by to talk about Fashion Week (and to promote Zoolander 2).

The 1975 performed two songs during the episode. Check out the performances of “The Sound” and “Love Me” below.

Next week, fan favorite Melissa McCarthy returns to host SNL with a superstar episode featuring musical guest Kanye West. Hopefully McCarthy will be bringing back Kristen Wiig for a quick cameo as she has in the past!
