Last night Charlize Theron hosted SNL for the first time since 2000 along with musical guest The Black Keys. Check out our SNL recap featuring highlights from the hilarious episode!

The episode opened with a Mother’s Day message from Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton played by Sasheer Zamata and Vanessa Bayer. It featured Hillary Clinton being passive aggressive about Michelle Obama.

Charlize Theron’s opening monologue was a song and dance all about her not singing.

In the first sketch of the night, Kate McKinnon played the Mother’s Day Game show with her three kids along with her neighbor Linda played by Aidy Bryant.

Cecily Strong and Aidy Bryant reprised their characters in the Girlfriends Talkshow last night as well. Check out the hilarious recurring sketch below:

Nasim Pedrad, who has been somewhat absent from SNL this season, reprised her motivational speaker character along with Charlize Theron:

Barbara Walters made a cameo on Weekend Update which included a tribute of the many impersonations of the legendary reporter over the history of SNL.

Bobby Moynihan brought back Drunk Uncle just in time for graduation season!

In one of the more hilarious physical sketches of the night, the show spoofed the recent dead and exploding whale story featuring… you guessed it… not one, but two exploding whales.
