‘SNL’ recap: Cold Open

In the cold open this week, Alec Baldwin broke the fourth wall and confided in Kate McKinnon. Baldwin admits that he just can’t take doing the Trump impression any longer. After joining hands with McKinnon they ran out of 30 Rock to spend time with babies and hug people after a wild election season. Check out the hilarious and motivation sketch below.

Opening Monologue

In Benedict Cumberbatch’s opening monologue he took to the microphone to do a little song and dance. The sketch included Leslie Jones admitting that she’s a Cumberbitch. Check it out below.

Koohl toilet

No one has ever looked better than Benedict Cumberbatch sitting on a revolutionary new toilet. Does this skit look familiar? It was inspired by Apple’s iconic Mac ad.

Why is Benedict so hot?

In the first sketch of the night, Beck Bennett was begging everyone to explain to him what’s so hot about Benedict Cumberbatch. Bennett, Vanessa Bayer, Aidy Bryant and Benedict Cumberbatch played themselves in the hilarious game show sketch.

Grandmother Bachelorette

Aidy Bryant was featured in arguably the best sketch of the night. Playing an old woman who died of shock, she was knocked around by a pair of strippers, one of which was Benedict Cumberbatch. Watch the hilarious sketch below!

A surprise appearance from Bill Murray

Cubs fan and SNL alum Bill Murray showed up during Weekend Update along with a few World Series winning Cubs players. Murray has been featured throughout the Cubs’ run to the World Series title as a super-fan.

Another SNL alum showed up to Weekend Update as well. Check out Dana Carvey reprising his role as the Church Lady and accusing Colin Jost of being a closet homosexual.

Solange performs

Solange performed two songs from her recently released album. Check out her performance of “Don’t Touch My Hair” below:
