Season 42 of SNL premiered with host Margot Robbie and the debut of Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump.

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 42nd season with a political cold open that featured Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump – a character Baldwin will be reprising throughout the season. Check out the spoof of last week’s Presidential debate below!

Margot Robbie made her debut as host last night as well. Robbie starred in this summer’s Suicide Squad as Harley Quinn. Check out her opening monologue below.

Also returning this season is Larry David’s portrayal of Bernie Sanders. All of the political characters came to a head in a new Family Feud sketch which featured people such as Sanders, Sarah Silverman, Darrell Hammond playing Bill Clinton, Margot Robbie as Ivanka Trump, and more! Check it out below.

Kate McKinnon returns to SNL this season as an Emmy winner for her incredible performances from last season. McKinnon debuted a new character, veteran Hollywood actress Debette Goldry, who recalls the less-than-glamorous heyday of Hollywood compared to the modern, feminist actresses making their way in today’s industry.

Leslie Jones made light of her summer scandal when hackers somehow managed to hack her Twitter account and photos on her computer. She hires the main character from Mr. Robot played by Pete Davidson, though at the time of this writing, the video is not available from SNL.

The Weeknd also returned to SNL performing the songs “False Alarm” and “Starboy.” Check out the performances below.

Next weekend, Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda will host SNL for the first time with musical guest Twenty-One Pilots.
