SNL is rounding out its enormously popular season with big news about live broadcasting and some heavy-hitters as hosts!

Though SNL is of course “live” (hence the name of the show), it actually isn’t completely live for those watching in other time zones besides the east coast every week. Now, SNL has announced that the last four telecasts of the show will indeed be live in all time zones. That means that when the show goes live at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time, 10:30 CT, 9:30 MT and 8:30 PT. This is a milestone moment for the late-night comedy show, which has never gone live across the country before in its 42 seasons.

“‘SNL’ — enjoying its most popular season in two decades — is part of the national conversation, and we thought it would be a great idea to broadcast to the west and mountain time zones live at the same time it’s being seen in the east and central time zones,” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. “That way, everyone is in on the joke at the same time. Kudos to Lorne Michaels, the producers and cast for making ‘SNL’ one of the most relevant and anticipated shows in the zeitgeist.”

If that weren’t exciting enough, SNL also announced the hosts for these final four episodes. Also posted on their official social media accounts, it was announced that Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon will host the April 15 episode, Chris Pine will host on May 6, Melissa McCarthy will host on May 13 and Dwayne Johnson will host the season finale on May 20.

Musical guests were not announced for these final four episodes, with the press release noting those announcements will come soon. SNL usually pulls out the biggest names in music for its final episodes of the season, so expect some very exciting news in the coming weeks.
